The main aim of this tutorial is to speed up your UV workflow and to get you creating flat accurate maps quickly. By the end of this tutorial you’ll have an understanding of the principles of
UV layout, but more importantly you’ll be able to create your own UV’s quickly.
This tutorial can be viewed as a standalone product, or as volume 3 in our furniture and interiors series.

In this tutorial we cover the shading, lighting and rendering of the bedroom scene in Mental Ray. We take a look at a couple of different lighting scenarios, in this case daytime and nighttime,as well as explore some complex materials in Mental Ray. Finally we set up a few of the essential render passes, DOF, volumetric lighting and ambient occlusion.
The new Mila material for Maya 2015 is covered in this project, but there is also a part that shows users of older versions of Maya how to achieve the same result.
All the post processing is done in Photoshop.
